X-Men's Storm

Original Size: approximately 11" x 17" This is a sample piece I did a few years ago for possible inclusion in a trading card set of Marvel superheroes. The woman is the beautiful Storm of the Silver Age X-Men comics, circa 1970's. This was the costume she also wore in the 80's comics. I fitted her into the format of the page and placed her on her knees for the composition's sake (and to also exude a sultry look!) Controlling the weather is her power and I added the lightning to give the feeling of her incredible powers. Hope you like it...

fantastic work Richard, she was my favorite character when i was growing up :)

Artist Reply: Thanks a million, Leah! Just curious, do you remember this costume? If not, it was the one she wore in the comics in the mid-70's to early 80's. She had a punk-rock look (with Mohawk hair and all..) in the mid-80's and a silver costume in the 90's and today. Regardless, STORM is always hot!

I LOVE THE LIGHTNING! I watched "The Final Stand" couple of nights ago....You did a fantastic job Richard!

Artist Reply: Much appreciation, Renata. In the comic books, Storm has had several different outfits and I decided to use this one for a change...
