This is my best CG so far, I'd say. This time, I actually worked a bit with multiple levels of shading, and I used an unusual light source (the spell) to really get the hang of lighting. I was also generally pleased with how I inked this one; I just wish I wasn't so careless with the shoulders and hand in the sketch, and I maybe exaggerated her hips a little too much. ^^; This drawing came out having a lot of intentional paradoxes. The title is one of them, because light is supposed to be clean and pure, and here Null is using evil light. Another is the butterflies, which usually are connected to innocence. And, if not for the outfit and the spell she's charging up, you'd think she was a pretty nice, playful girl that just wants to have a little fun, but then when you find out her definition of fun...

Well Null seems to be a very outgoing person from just the clothes. the only thing is that her skin looks very shiny, now i don't know if its the spell or just you made it that way but it is a little strange, that and i would have to agree about the hips thing along with there seems to be too much open space between her legs which looks unnatural. well enough of my musings! Great contrast though with the inocent butterflys and the well not so inoccent clothing.Jerry 01 Nov 2006
