In a theoretical sense, she's earthbound, no more. During the "Blaxploitation" era, a young woman named Tamara Dobson, 6'-2" took on the role of Cleopatra Jones. She was one of the few women pioneers of AfrAmerican women in the film industry. The TV or feature film industry, just didn't know, or want to portray these women as love interests, or anyone in a regular everyday lifestyle, other than maid, nurse (Julia -Dianne Carroll), singer, etc. But, they could be tough, and street savvy so, a beautiful woman of that particular culture, was ideal for the role of a pistol packing, karate/kick-boxing Private Investigator. It was a beginning, but I doubt any of these women would have thought that some day an AfrAmerican woman would win an Oscar for wearing a thong, making graphic love on the floor, after her son was just killed, with troll-looking BB Thornton. Just sayin'

Artist Reply: Cathie, thank you! I hope you no longer have any such strife. While it has not been obliterated, it has subsided a great deal in the US, and thankfully so.

Lovely Cezanne! You do such nice work and she was such a beautiful woman! And thanks for the information you put up with your drawings as well. Rohdy

Artist Reply: Thank you Rohdy! I think if some people have not been aprised of my choice of somewhat obscure people in portraits, I should clue them in, a bit, as to why I would draw them. My daughter sent me the info on Tamara(my daughter's name, too) or I would not have known Ms. Dobson died.
