Majestic

I started a new project about trees. I think almost as long as a live I love trees. They are majestic and the structures and leaves are often very beautiful. The trees of the fairy tales, the trees of fantasies. This is the first one. I think I am going to paint this one too in acryl. I hope you love the style and the imagery. Thea this really illustrates that trees are growing into the earth - we often only consider them as growing up into the sky - we see that this tree has its hungry mouth pressed tightly against the earth from which it feeds -:0)

Neat image, Thea. There's a story held in this poor old tree... there are questions that arise from the picture. The playing you've done with the colours to give them the look of a painting, adds to the blotchy look of the tree. Well done.
