Hanna's house.

This cottage is gone now and so is Hanna. Ballydavid has changed for the worse.

this is so beautiful Frank,I love the name Hanna,my cousin's daughter is named Hannah, she lives in Huddersfield.this does not have your usual very vivid colors but I love the subtle softness of it,the cottage is wonderfully done.

Artist Reply: Thanks Ruth, This was among my first paintings when I was using oil. I was never happy with it but everybody else seems to love it, there is no accounting for taste.

I'm so glad you immortalised this scene Frank..........I know that Ireland has to take its place in the 21st century but so many histories and life stories are lost along the way.........

Artist Reply: It is a good job that I painted that when I did for the whole area has gone twee with holiday homes. Thanks for the look.

Artist Reply: This is a mile down the bothar from my house but the whole area has gone to hell though I still love it. Frank Maguire.

Lovely work...much depth of feeling expressed.....

Artist Reply: Hannah, was a cowmaid all her life and lived in poverty, though she owned a great herd of cows and had acres of land. Thanks for liking my work on her house. My picture is all that remains. Frank Maguire
