Gallarus: The Call to Prayer.

The stone church at Gallerus was built of corbelled stone and no mortar was used. The monks were rough Christians who could turn their hands to anything and they frequently got up to some mischief.

Really lovely work and great story being told!!!!!

Artist Reply: Thanks Deborah, Gallurus is still going strong but I am afraid the trees are all gone. Frank.

I think the detailing doesn't say exactly ehat's going on...are they going to play golf?

Artist Reply: Golf hadn't been invented 500years after the event. This was called Hurling and the monks carried hurleys made by themselves. Black and Decker came considerably later down the centuries. Frank Maguire.
