Greek Temple

After seeing the excellent movie . . Capote and the extraordinary acting of Philip Seymour Hoffman in the lead role, I was compelled to read Capote s book . . .In Cold Blood . . . a truly amazing work. In the opening chapter as Capote describes the Kansas environment he makes a statement which has stuck in my head as he describes Kansas farms with grain elevators . . . that rise like Greek Temples . . And here is a Greek Temple . . . but not from Kansas.

For those of us who grew up in the midwest (Iowa for me)... these bins really speak of a way of life. I have friends that made a good living building these things... What is stored in them? We called it Iowa Gold.
