Paradisaea apoda

(c)2006 Anton Small - The legless bird of paradise got it's name because the first trade skins to reach Europe were prepared without feet. This corresponded to an old myth about beautiful visitors from paradise without feet that floated about in the air and never touched the earth until they died.
