Sometimes, the growing belly dweller kicks so enthusiastically that it keeps you up at night. The next day requires naps, but if naps aren't available, a good pot of soothing tea certainly helps.

Staedler permanent fine-point pen and colored pencil (mostly Berol Prismacolor, but Berol Verithins, Caran d'Ache and Staedler are mixed in the box too) on Strathmore 400 series sketch pad. The original is only about 5 inches wide.

(Silly side note: according to the notes in it, I've had this sketch book since 1985. It's pretty wild to see where I've improved and where I haven't. My style is still essentially the same, but my rendering is a little better. Not much. Must work at this still. Oh! Same pad I used for Tinker [link] .)
