Saw What? ACEO

Actually, I think this is a burrowing owl, not a saw whet, but I couldn't resist the title. And indeed, he does seem sufficiently skeptical of just about anything...

I screwed up the hat, though. Didn't realize it until too late.

Watercolors on cold press ACEO paper from Ellen Million. Original is 2.5 x 3.5 inches. Signed on the front in lower right. I like this paper! Yum. A really quick piece, because everything is practice.

Looks just fine. Watercolor is a challenging medium. I could never try it!

Artist Reply: Thank you! Watercolors are .. well, I dunno, the only other paints I've ever tried are gouache and acrylics, really. And not much of those. I should probably take a class! But hey, in the meantime -- easy out, easy cleanup-- a must in my house! And if I can try it, surely you can. :)
