this is a first for me as well. i am deathly afraid of watercolor, its the wettest of the wet medias, and thus, fear from me. but one night (no, i swear i wasnt on drugs, lol) i was drawing a dandelion in ink and pencil and was like "whee" and then i was like "hmmm, maybe try some oil pastels!" so i got out my watercolor paper (strange, i know) and inked the dandelion blah blah and then something made me decide to get my five dollar watercolors out and give it a shot. it was fun. i'd played with watercolor before, but i was never able to really manipulate it. well anyway, this is just a strange dandelion and a new endeavor. let me know what i could do differently, better, etc (or how great i am, that works too) i know my wash was off, how can i prevent this? wash first? use some kind of crazy watercolor thing to keep it from getting on the subject? anyway, i'd appreciate your input. thanks!
