Carl, this has a "burled" wood texture,,,with windblown sandstone...nice detail work !
Artist Reply: The idea of this is to feel like you're in a cave discovering faces in the sandstone rock, that's why the light is coming from the left, into the cave. The faces have been "tiled" giving a break-up effect and the sandstone is a texture tool option in Photoshop.
