i like 'negative' space too! works for me. gives just the right effect.

Great! I love the flatness of the brown and the way the gold pops out. How big is it?

centered composition is dystracting, the negative space isn't doing much for it, the colors are good and the texture of the paint is interesting...those puff paints you can buy for fabric? thats what it looks like to me, it would be interesting if it werent so horizontal with the composition, a slight angle could make all the diference IMO.

Artist Reply: You could be right. I produced a painting similar to this one that sold very quickly, so this is just a variation on a theme. (PLAYING SAFE). The paint is just very thin metallic acrylic, nothing special. I like negative space but I take your point, I may rework this later. Thanks for your comments Nayana and the consideration to my work.
