i usually hate landscape paintings but this is so great, i'm jealous! i will never be this talented. do you paint straight from the tube or do you use mediums? i can't get these effects, my things always end up really bright and hard-edged
Artist Reply: Hi Bonnie i use genesis heat-set oils , they blend well and you can dry with a heatgun and keep on working they are made in the US and the web site is genesisoilpaints.com, if not enough info try putting au on the end as the aussie site tells you all about the product. Helen. Thanks

perfect mist, u can darken the corners and beyond the woods to emphasize the focal point. more shades of green. but u did capture the solitude feeling. wow!
It is always a challenge showing detail without the use sharp lines. You did a very nice job creating that atmosphere and the sense of spacial persective. Super job Helen!
