African Baobab Tree

BAOBAB TREE The Baobab tree is known as Africa's largest tree. Everything from the tree can be used as a resource: Flowers: Are boiled and used to wash feet. Fruit: As a sickness cure and the skin for powder. Leaves: Used in food for flavour. Bark Strands: Are woven for string. Wood: Used for fires This is a silhouette sunset picture. The tree and ground is painted in flat black, there is some texture work on the sun. The sky is acrylic and the overlay tree is in oil. The photograph does not show the full effect of the warmth against the contrast of the tree. It is a very eye catching painting. Painting is 14x10 inches unframed Would possibly consider selling price: £145 ($270 USD) plus postage from UK
