This is an example of a recent commission. The only image the client had was a photo on her mobile phone, not usually the most promising start and the composition was rather strange. However, this was one of those wonderful moments when the result is something you couldn't have predicted. I cut out all background and just concentrated on Henry's dramatic markings. This experience reminded me that sometimes you have to break with convention and leave your comfort zones to achieve the best result.
