Amarillo Orchid From the Four Corners

Orchid from The Four Corners MADRIGAL WRITTEN IN THE SUMMER HEAT IN THE DEPTHS OF THE DEEP SEA IN THE NIGHT OF LONG LISTS LIKE A HORSE YOUR SILENT SILENT NAME RUNS PAST LODGE ME AT YOUR BACK, OH SHELTER ME APPEAR TO ME IN YOUR MIRROR, SUDDENLY UPON THE SOLITARY, NOCTURNAL PANE SPROUTING FORM THE DARK BEHIND YOU. FLOWER OF SWEET TOTAL LIGHT BRING TO MY CALL YOUR MOUTH OF KISSES, VIOLENT FROM SEPARATIONS, RESOLUTE AND DELICATE MOUTH NOW THEN, IN THE LONG RUN FROM OBLIVION TO OBLIVION THE ROADS, RESIDE WITH ME, THE CRY OF THE RAIN: WHAT THE DARK NIGHT PRESERVES. WELCOME ME IN THE TREADLIKE EVENING. WHEN AT DUSK IT WORKS UPON ITS WARDROBE AND IN THE SKY A STAR TWINKLES FILLED WITH WIND. BRING YOU SUBSTANCE DEEP DOWN TO ME, HEAVILY, COVERING MY EYES, LET YOUR EXISTENCE CUT ACROSS ME, SUPPOSING THAT MY HEART IS DESTROYED.

This was said with a smile (a cocked eyebrow) and no bitterness at all! I am laughing and chuckling about the "unripe persimmons"! Touche, Maestro, Touche! ao

Dear Senor, Contrary to popular belief there are those who DO know of what you speak and allude to! Shocking but true, I know, but I am sure you will adjust. ;) My reply was facetious. *True Love* makes a cenote seem as if it were tinier than a thimble. That......... invisible friend, is what I believe in my heart. ao

Artist Reply: Goodness, you sound a bit bitter, something better said privately. I do have a way of getting email on this website. I am sure that our other artists have no desire to read about unripe persimmons. My regards, Senor.

......a deep cenote of passion waiting to be slathered on one, eh? That shallow, my friend?.........

Artist Reply: You must have no idea how deep a cenote is, my friend. Michael

Oh Michael (Magus)...this is so beautiful. The intoxicating, sensual words and the incredible colors draw one more-helplessly, entranced- into your beautiful, fragrant spell..... What a *lucky* distant loved one....or is she?....... What intense love, passion, mystery, etc. is she missing?........ ao

Artist Reply: My invisible friend, there is not one that I love like that now and for a long time. Whoever receives all that I have stored up will be overwhelmed. I have a deep cenote of passion waiting to be slathered on one. Michael
