Drider

"It crawled down the wall, spindly legs clacking on the hard stone floor of the cavern, the green glow of the fungus clinging to the rock only enhancing the creature's ghastly, arachnid form. It's black, dead eyes looked around as if sensing someone about. It was once a person, a drow by the name of Ezel'ix Zaulyl, a warrior who decided to go against the teachings of Lloth, rebelling against the matriarchal rule. He fell to the drow priestesses and through chants and magic, his body was warped and mutated into this twisted half-drow, half-spider form. Lloth is not merciful." © 2006 RaeRae

I really like the color palette and the lighting. I think that you could do something to bring the focus to his face though because right now my eye's drawn to his spider body butt which is the area with the most contrast. Good work and nice idea.
