The Longest Day

'The Longest Day' is part of The Songs Series, worked in 2004 in collaboration with Steve Tugwell, from his first CD. This is the third generation of the song, 'The Longest Day'.

This could be the longest day I need something to help me find the strongest way To face the fact that black and white has turned to gray The longest day
copyright 2001; Steve Tugwell, Sleep

When I worked with Steve's songs, the first generation was to do all of the songs on Sleep. They came up to be worked in a different order from the way they were listed on the CD. When I mentioned that to Steve, he burned a new CD in the order they came up for me, and we both felt the CD was stronger in the energetic order they came up to be painted. I chose foamboard as the support for this Series so I could emboss the work for additional texture and interest. This painting is signed and dated front; signed, titled, and dated reverse; and comes with an EBSQ-registered Certificate Of Authenticity.

Loree, my dearest...I am glad you emerged from the cave of creativity with your gift for my eyes. I was going blind from not seeing such illuminated and opulent work. It is extravagantly beautiful. And you are too, miguel

Artist Reply: Miguwel, you DO have a gift for it! Thank you for your kind comments, m'friend. (P.S. I just woke up - only a distint reflection of beautiful at the moment.)
