rapunzel in progress

Acrylic on canvas, with oil pastels and black sharpie. Inspired by some of my old flames... rapunzel has short hair, trapping herself in her tower chess pieces represent love as a game. the text is from fragments of Rapunzel in the original German. 28 inches by 36 inches. completed February 2005.
