GLORIOUS EMPTY TOMB

(C) 1975 Elton Houck...GLORIOUS EMPTY TOMB...The tomb is the final affrontery to our lives...but Jesus took away the sting of Death, and with the power of Heaven and HIs own will He arose from the dead and made the tomb now a glorious thing...just like the cross is so dear to all of us who have given our hearts to Jesus...for this the final horror--the cross a most insideous and horrific way to die in agony and shame, has now become the glory of our Lord, for by his passion on the cross and his resurrection, he defeated death hell and the grave...THANK GOD THE TOMB IS EMPTY, OR WE WOULD BE WITHOUT HOPE, and death would be extinction, instead of the offer of a heavenly home for all who trust in Jesus. Don't you think its time to trust HIm...He's only a prayer away. === ==== === === This work was done in 1975 on plain paper 8" X 10" and matted on an 10" X 14" matt. The painting was completed using India inks, cake coloring, enamel paint, fixative, and polyurethane. === ==== === ===

JESUS CHRIST HAS RISEN! HE IS ALIVE AND I'M FORGIVEN...HEAVEN'S GATES ARE OPEN WIDE...HE'S ALIVE...HE'S ALIVE!!!'--Dallas Holmes lyrics from his song "He's Alive." === === ==== === ELTON HOUCK subway art. pop, abstact, outsider artist.
