GREENBOOK plate 6

(c)2006 Elton Houck The title of this work is "PETER IN THE EMPTY TOMB..." Upon hearing from Mary that the tomb was empty, Peter rushed ahead of John and ran into the tomb and saw the rolls of winding cloth (still in the shape of the body) and the prayer shawl set to the side neatly folded as Jesus or any orthodox Jew would have left it...He knew that a miracle had taken place..no one had stolen the body...the grave wrappings were long strips of cloth bound around the body like Egyptian mummies, and within the folds the various spices and aromatic elemnts were placed to help preserve the decay of the body..this included myrr which was like tar, and they used 100 lbs for the body. So Peter saw the wrappings not undone, but still in the form in which they had held Jesus' body...no thief had unwound them and discarded his prayer shawl...NO PETER KNEW THAT JESUS HAD RISEN FROM THE GRAVE......The GREEEN BOOK is a spiraled covered book of original paintings and drawings. It conatins 28 originals. The 3" X 3.5" works of art are on black acid free paper designed for gel pens. The additional image is of inside of the front cover. ---- .

JESUS CHRIST HAS RISEN! HE IS ALIVE AND I'M FORGIVEN...HEAVEN'S GATES ARE OPEN WIDE...HE'S ALIVE...HE'S ALIVE!!!'--Dallas Holmes lyrics from his song "He's Alive." === === ==== === THE GREEN BOOK is offered at half of what its sister edition -"The REDBook" sold for..Order it here on ArtWanted from ELTON HOUCK subway art. pop, abstact, outsider artist.
