Almost caught in it like a Venis Fly Trap...drawn to the sweet passion of the inner mystery...the sights and smell the intoxication...

Artist Reply: ooh... how much do I like YOU right now??? Thanks, Christine - I do so love thoughtful comments!

Love the title to this strong and powerful work!

Artist Reply: Thank you, Lucia - someone called me The Headline Queen once in a writing group... I think they meant it as an insult, but I wear it proudly! Glad you enjoyed the work.

Loree, must I pontificate on your mastery my whole day. This series of work of yours is very important. Ancient and modern, abstract and super reallist at the same time. The spirit lines are always there and know I see a knowledge drum as the focal, a storytelling drum as they used to do before words. All stories were drummed (but you know that). If you get a chance on my site, look at the costume of Red Bull a Native American Dancer. Similar coloring and the power sheild (if I may take my liberities) in your work is similar to one he used. Sun signs, the Ankh, snake signs, all these exquisite icons you use. You say you don't know but in your subconsious you are protecting yourself with these manner of shields. And to incorporate post modernism in this ancient feeling art of yours is just not only genius but clever. And I love that covert face with one side you incorporate in your work. Of course, you know Loree, this is just one simple man's opinion, one who sits on a rock and draws figures in the dusty ground, laughing with his head back at himself and his doodling. So I say it's beautiful, but I can't help but pontificate about your series. It is to be studied and not just looked at as another pretty piece of art. There is depth. miguel and if you have any time left after reading the lengthy repartee, have a glorious holiday.

Artist Reply: Well, bless you kind sir! I really appreciate you taking the time with my work - pontificate away! (And I will have a glorious holiday... and am about ready to come join you on that rock - got an extra stick?) I'll take a look at your site later.
