Panda Ronin

The one not to be named rode on the back of his beast as the large panda climbed the nearest tree. 'That drunk of a barbarian is late again.' He said aloud as he scanned the far off horizon a grizzly bear rider. 'If he wishes to join this gang then he better get here before the sun touches the top of the sky.' The panda decended the tree and strode over to an albino elf mounted on a polar bear. 'Ice Skin you wait here for him while the rest of us ride on ahead, if he is not here by the sun's highest point start toward the north you'll find us waiting thereat the nearest inn.' The elf nodded and took his post.

I know this may be strange, but I like the background. The simplicity of it, the detail of the leaves yet the breaks for sky showing through. The top of the tree throws me a bit. Where the panda is leaning. I had a bit of trouble distinguishing where his paws were, at first. The bottom of the bear looks much bigger than the top too. A very interesting concept. I like the colors you choose and the lighting and shadows are nice. Well done!
