Captured by Guards

Original Size: approximately 10" x 15" This is a sample piece a did a few years ago for Heavy Metal Illustrated depicting a warrior woman captured by orc-like guards near a citadel. Many people who view this picture think she is smiling a lot & looks like she's enjoying her captivity somewhat, but I see it that she is having a good laugh at their expense. Obviously, she intends on inflicting tremendous carnage on these fools when she inevitably escapes! Basically, the guards have no idea who they're messin' with...!

very cool. This ahs a very Louis Royo look to it.Great work!!!

Artist Reply: Thanks a bunch! Funny, I actually did this piece before seeing much of Royo's work (which I thoroughly enjoy and admire, by the way...). I truly appreciate the compliment a lot...

Outstanding work Richard! Oh I'd love to see a sequel...see the wrath of a brutal brunette:) Love it!!!!

Artist Reply: Most kind! Thank you! As for brunettes, I agree with you! I like women of all hair colors (redheads, blondes, etc), but brunettes certainly have that special something!

Oh boy--I almost feel sorry for the captors. She really does have a devilish look on her face. Excellent scene!

Artist Reply: Thanks! Maybe I will get the chance to do a sequel to this piece and show her easily fighting off the brutes!

She does not look too troubled by the capture. It looks more like a chalanging task for her! Awesome!

Artist Reply: Thanks! When time permits, I would like to do a 'sequel' to this piece showing the her escaping & in the heat of battle, and maybe the aftermath of her fury!
