Pale Rose bloom II

This is a companion painting to another rose I posted prior to tis one. Both are blooms from the same bush, but different angles of the flowers. They do not have the exact same backfround colors, but close. I would like to hear which one's background colors were best, if you have time to comment. Trying to decide what looks best. I used Painter Classic to paint this rose, and a Wacom tablet that hooks to my computer (comupter drawing tablet). I used airbrushes, water tool, and some pastels to blend to get this soft look.

I love the soft glow about this rose. Excellent work Terry!

Artist Reply: Thank you Angela! I love to paint roses, and tried to match the petal softness by painting this that way.

Beautiful creative digital Art,Terry! :)

Artist Reply: Thank you! I love painting florals, and roses are a favorite. Will be adding many more as I finish them up I try to work on them in stages so that I can look at them after a month or so with fresh eyes. It helps me see what I overlooked, and sometimes I've learned a new skill or brush tool.

Delightful image....so soft and delicate. I love it

Artist Reply: Thank you Renata! I like painting roses in a soft look as their petals are usually so soft to the touch.

Beautiful flower,Terry!!!!!!!!

Artist Reply: Thank you Joke! Wish I had time to take all the beautiful flowers you take photos of. Yours are so lovely. Learning to go out and take my own photos, at least well enough to use for reference photos for my paintings.

the affect is lovely, creamy and soft.

Artist Reply: Thank you! That's how I meant to make it look.

terry you are very good at catching angles and presentation work... i admire your digital abilities greatly

Artist Reply: Thank you! I hope to use that ability to learn to do better photography. I take reference photos for my paintings , such as one I used for this one so that I can remeber the lighting. I try to take a photo as I will want to frame and paint it. Otherwise I'd do a horrible jog with the lights and shadows.
