As a boy I met the Percheron as a black horse. Though the picture was just of one standing, I was informed that his was the breed that was ridden by knights. I thought of Belgians as grey dappled draft horses that pulled wagons. It's hard today to find a four-wheeled wagon from before 1400. Research begins so late and ends so early.
I loved this piece of art.. fantastic.. I could feel and hear the hooves and the jingle of harness and wagon.. being a horse owner I am very impressed. Keep it up

Great piece. The horse carraige theme is one of my favourites in my surreal imagery as well. Thank you for your comment on my work. Cheers.Kath Olding 19 Mar 2006
