Jesus of Nazareth

well, this is the first real picture i have done of Jesus. I'm not a very religous man, but i had recently seen "The Passion of the Christ" and after seeing what the poor man went through i had to give him a tribute for what he went through for us.

I REALLY AM TOUCHED BY THIS ONE...I THINK YOU HAVE PUT MORE FEELING INTO THIS THAN MOST OTHER WORKS I HAVE SEEN ...EVEN IF THEY PAINT BEAUTIFULLY LIKE YOU SAID THEY CANDY COAT THINGS AS IF THEY ARE AFRAID TO FEEL AND ADMIT OR UNDERSTAND OR ACCEPT THE TRUTH...LIKE THEY WANT TO MAKE IT PRETTY...WHICH IT WASN'T AT ALL. You are closer to reality. Religion is not what it is about...you have gone beyond that to touch the soul...Thanks for creating this...I have been waiting for someone to paint the truth like Mel did!!!

Artist Reply: thank you very much. I am very pleased you like my "version" of things after seeing that movie i just could not let people pretend like what he went through (no matter how good the purpose) was not a pretty thing he was tortured horrible and he suffered more than any of us could understand....i think people need to see that before they can understand what his sacrifice really ment........was that too deep? lol

Great movie and thank you for portraying Him as it was...He did go through all of that torture and as for me...it was a sacrifice for me...Well done Mr Death!

Artist Reply: thank you very much. I thought i should potray him like this not only because that the way it would have been, but also because to many pictures of him are "candy coated" and dont show the true pain and suffering he went through for his sacrifice.
