It is a 2 mi. hike to Summit Lake and another mi. to get above the lake. You can't take a bad picture here. Using the same trailhead you can climb to the top of the mountain on the left, behind the tree. It is called Bearhead Mtn and when we were up there we looked down on this mountain and the lake. Bearhead Mtn. was once the site of a fire lookout tower. It's gone now, there are only a few left, but in their day you could see one tower from another, like Lord of the Rings... :) Thanks so much for coming with us on this beautiful day.
