this is a work in progress, but i expect that i will like the outcome. this is a very special peice to me. the idea came to me in the shower when i wasnt feeling so good about life. and then i sort of had this vision of a drawing with a girl (whom im starting to think is me) standing in a doorway looking into a surrealistic and crazy world. "i imagine you must feel a bit like alice, tumbling down the rabbit hole" except that this is different than alice in wonderland. this is my representation of the real world, stepping from the drab and depressing cry of adolesence into the real world, with endless possiblities. sounds naive. but thats what this is more or less about. i guess a closer representation is the current stage in my life. the girl stands in wonder at the new world with no railings. this version has been slightly tampered with on the computer, so the colors are distorted, but at least you can see it. i tried to change it as little as possible, but i wanted some of the colors to be very visible. i plan to fill in the background with swirly bits of color and random shapes. hopefully without overpowering the veiwer. suggestions welcome!
