Still Life with Black Horse

This piece came about from a day spent at a horse show one hot, hot summer day. This poor guy could not find a cool spot to relax, and I shot him from behind, in love with the sunlight and dapples on his backside. It was wonderful painting the warm sun in the middle of a dreary January.
