Upper West Side Bldg. - NYC - Color & BW

Here's another building I found in NYC while driving around with my father (the master of city driving). The original image is color - of course. Any critique on the conversion to b&w would be greatly appreciated. Copyright - Keith Mooney, Third Sun Pictures.

Excellent composition. Its hard to tell about the conversion without knowing about what you tried to accomplished when you took the shot.

i really like colored better for once. i think the b&w looses something in the shadow of the doorway and the climbing banister. the colored one is so subtle that it doesnt get overwhelmed by color, the red wall just seems to enhance the age and mystic of the building better... heck does any of that make sense?
