Dream Regent

Between the idea and the material, between the waking and the dream, there is the regent. She binds your hopes to your dreams, your fantasy to your horrors. She haunts the backs of my eyelids emerging in green and blue. No matter where I go, this image haunts me and I'm not sure why.

24"x36", Acrylic paint (fingerpainting), 4 days.

Have you ever read Patricia Garfield's book..."Creative Dreaming" ? Wonderful work.
