thirst

Another experiment in pencil. I wanted the background to radiate heat, but how exactly do you draw heat abstractly? As usual I just winged it.

I was so drawn to this image. It's amazing! I love the technique. Maybe beads of sweat rooling down his face and neck would push that "heat" factor to the next level? Excellent job my friend!

Great Creative Work...... Excellent Pencil Effects for capturing thirst!!!

PMyers 15 Dec 2005

Maybe the background you drew represents the flames of a fire, that would make heat. This is awesome and I think you captured the effect you were trying for.

Cristina Marsi 15 Dec 2005

... and without using colors, but just black and white. But you managed indeed. Even in thumbnail heat was already visible. Good job!

Lucia Stewart 15 Dec 2005

A strong pencil work, not sure about the background though. It may not need it...but you've got me thinking about drawing heat and I suppose each person would have a different interpretation. I do like the figure and you've proved a master with a pencil.

Terry Bullard 15 Dec 2005

interesting, not sure how to get the heat affect either - nice pencil work though and I do like the background pattern work.

Andree Lerat 15 Dec 2005

Absolutely fantastic. You did it...
