Stanley "Tookie" Williams was executed tuesday night for four slayings committed in '81. He was the co-founder of the Crips, turned advocate for street peace and spent his remaining days trying to put an end to street gang warfare from his deathrow cell. He has written several books on the subject for students and teachers alike. In 2001, Tookie was nominated for the Noble Peace Prize.
