Mickey Mao (2005)

This fanciful portrait of the late Chairman Mao incorporates elements from the famous mouse, symbol of frivolous capitalism. The green and gold rays represent money and gold, of course. Long live Chairman Mouse. This painting won one of five first places in the 2006 September Competition at the Alexandria Museum of Art, Alexandria, Louisiana.

Andy Warhol would be proud. Walt Disney, on the other hand, may have other thoughts. This is awesome. Very deserving of its first place awards.
