These two photographs were made last January in the local mountains around Vancouver. I went out snowshoing and was looking for interesting snow scenes. I found many snow-covered trees that looked to me like hunched-over creatures moving about the winter landscape. The one in the zoomed-up version is carrying such a heavy head of snow that it reminded me of Marvin, the chronically depressed robot in the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. He also has a big head.
