Figs! Ouch! Those things use to cut my tongue. But they were delicious! A dead leaf and rotten fruit...a catch 22 for a kid waiting for them to fall. I can almost smell the sweet dusty air. And taste the bloody tongue...Nice pic Mr.Serrano. A memory of Southern California...If I could put this photo with the train yards, and the orange groves, and the popular culture...it was a land of opportunity. But last time I checked it ws all mowed down. Oranges, Figs and all. Everyone should eat more figs! They're delicious!!!And as long as you peel them they won't cut your tongue!
