Some people, like this rose, can look perfect and beautiful on the outside. They are packaged and processed for profit. They seem to convey emotion that they themselves don't have. They may amaze or bring smiles, perhaps pleasure to others...but that is shortlived, temporary - the celophane wrapper survives longer.

And yet - though they are what they are, it's possible that they have made a difference: warmed someone's heart, brightened a day, mended a hurt.

Such people, like this rose, might even be remembered fondly, forever.

Artist Reply: Thank you Sher- I remember how I first enjoyed your work, and still do :) Are you sending me back to the 'drawing boards" (sounds like a punishment) LOL - that'd be ok, I've loved drawing since I was a toddler. Actually my next step is probably back to pastel, and stipple...got more portraits the Creator in me (the one I take direction from ) wants done,
