Raku is a particular form of pottery that originated in Japan. The clay body contains a lot of ground grog (fired clay) to give it strength. The pot is removed from the kiln while still red hot. It is fun to watch it change as it cools. This Xenodream image reminds me of some of the glazes that are available for raku. © Pat Goltz Thank you for your comments. I greatly appreciate them!
