Uncomplicated Reversal

A change is always evident, some-times things tends to re-bound to it's begining. An emotional re-lapse a faze of un-sure demands, the question what was what is. A small graphite drawing 6 inches by 4 1/2 inches.

nice work Juan. ignore that Anon Guest posing as a collector. They are making the rounds again. Those crazy guys from Nigeria.

Artist Reply: John I wrote a thread warning people about that anon guest..keeping that response for a muse and education for others to see.

Are things what they appear to be? Emotions are such a complicated creature! Next to impossible to get a true reading! So many influences. What a mixture this is of complication and simplicity. Its telling somehow, that the left and lower (backward facing borders) are ripped, while the upper and right (forward facing) borders are straight edges.

You have a unique style and are a true artist....I wish i could do something like this I think it is really expressive.

Susan Epps 01 Oct 2005

Second thoughts, a re-think or a completely new perception ??? All captured in her expression. First-rate work, Juan !

I love the hand Juan, and I can see the hesitation in the eyes. I know just how the model feels, I have been there so many times. Especially now. :)

"..what it is, what it was, and what it shall be".. change will always happen, it's what we choose to do with it, and how we re-act to it.. I LOVE the deep, thoughtful look in his eyes... Your work is always so awesome! So much to see and gets the mind working! I am so ENTHRALLED by art that will draw me in like this.... Beautifully, and very skillfully done Juan! :o)

Awesome job on this...all things go full circle

The title adds a whole level of mystery to this portrait. Once again, the realistic center dissolves into the abstract elements. Change is good, as I tell my wife. She doesn't always agree.
