Gruesome

The local amusement park is anything but funny as they decorate the grounds for Halloween. (c) 2005 Brian Woolweber

This has a somber, disturbing quality to it. The face and closed eyes provide a focal point around which the various bones swirl. I think people need to be shocked about think of their own mortality, especially in our times when medicine pretends to provide the key to extended life, perhaps immortality (through cloning).

Ich! I know what you mean! Isn't Halloween really suppose to be the celebration of All Saints Day? In the past they dressed to scare away evil spirits not glorify them. I kind of hate that part of this Holiday. I wish there were more good and kind spirits depicted than all the gore. I don't know what happend. Great icky stuff!! Yech!
