The Inferno-Canto 25, lines 4 to 12

Thieves in Dantes Hell are punished by a contrapasso directly based on their sin. In life the boundaries between what belonged to others and to themselves didn't exist, so in Hell, their own bodies are no longer their own. The serpents are actually other thieves, who are melting and merging with them, eventually taking their forms and leaving them as sepents.

Scary! Deep! Thought provoking! I shy away from the darker side of sprituality, but this is a art nonetheless! Nice job!
