Boy With The Red Scarf

After seeing the horrific news in Iraq yesterday I wanted to post this photo I took last year which was a random shot of a boy standing by his mother's car in a parking lot. After I printed it, it had such an impact on me that I used the image as the basis for my oil painting "The Boy with the Red Scarf." There is not much more for me to say about this, the photo says it all.

Great art needs no extra words. But I wish those playground bullies we have for leaders would stop and look at this.

its all about the gas tank....good work....I'd like to see this on CNN, or FOX...but we all know that would never happen...nice pic

Artist Reply: Thanks for noticing the gas tank. I see a lot of symbolism in this photo and the gas tank was the central force for me.
