The Aspects of VISION

Calligraphic work spilling off the brush and pen by myself, done in 1997, Saudi Arabia. An exploration of the words that have to do with sight wrapped round abstract shapes and colors. VISION: It's more than meets the EYE! Pen, Ink, Watercolor, Gouache on Canson paper.

wonderful artwork beck!.... I love to write and paint the letteres, too... You made a beautiful calligraphy with interesting message: free mind- free vision!

Artist Reply: thank you esther - vision is all to an artist, finding all the words to describe it was quite an exercise of thought without a dictionary or thesaurus at hand... guess that's why i like lettering in art, it uses both sides of the brain! i kept you on the artwatch as I truly like your work!.

Ok, though I really like the other word art ones in this gallery this one trapped me.First thing I thought when I saw it was the artist Basquiat in it's overall feel.It is good to see another with the vision to use words as the art itself.I have an ongoing project that utlizes the same idea and hopefully it will be out into the world before the year is up .
