Parrot

I love the parrots so much, they are really funny creatures. They are so beautiful , intelligent, curious and a bit cheeky , aren't they ? This image is a gouache painting done with the feelings and imagery from my time spent in Venezuela - I saw a lot of them there - from every corner you can see and hear a bunch of shriekking parrots, it seems they are allowed to be little noise monsters .....it's really amazing ! I'm love with strong colours and forms, so I think that the parrot , this lovely guy was a good model for my painting. My paintings are like friends to me. This is a beautiful free-flowing bird portrait. Much admiration, I wish I could get the same loose quality to my bird paintings but I do not seem to have your secret. Bob.
