I drew this cat from a magazine clipping for cat food when I was 16. It also won Best of Show at the Arizona State Fair Young Artist Contest for charcoal/conte, and a Second Place in my high school art show. The cat was originally looking up at a canary in a cage, but I took the bird out and left the cat. Done in conte, on textured light brown paper. Sorry about the flash, it looks so much better without it . . .
