Woman 1920

This a colorized (by me) old photograph of my grandmother. I realize that this is not my art and maybe it isn't appropriate for me to post this but I am so proud of my first try at coloring old photos that I just HAD to show it! I will take it down in a day or so :) The picture below is the original with my mom in it too.

Etty, she is a beautiful woman, and you've done a wonderful job of colourizing. It doesn't seem to me that you are trying to take credit for anything you didn't do yourself. I don't think you need to take it down. You should be proud of your contribution. It is a collaboration.

Artist Reply: Thank you all! I guess I will not take it down then :). She was not only beautiful but very strong and sharp as a tack. She was married off and shipped out to another continent at the young age of 13. The first year of their marriage my grandfather often found her skipping rope with the neighbourhood kids or tying bows on the cat instead of cooking dinner. Can you imagine that?

I think you have sufficiently changed the original with your lovely colors to be able to classify this as art. Well done.
