Papier Mache'+ Oil painting 2003 sizes:130cmx100cm =52"x40". I will start my Birthday speech with -"Our Lives Are Woven Together For A Reason". The discovery landed safetly,"THANKS GOD FOR THAT"... On February 1,2003 ,Seven astronauts died, during reentry into atmosphere-The Columbia disaster. For me personally,it was a great SHOCK...Perhaps I'm too sensitive person, but,it affected me in the STRONGEST way that can be.With SEA of TEARS,in my eYes,I understood that,I have a mission to make a painting,in memory of the 7 wonderful astronauts, including the first Israeli astronaut,Ilan Ramon Z"L.For about 2 months,I worked fully,on this painting. When I finished this painting,I knew,I should give it as a present for HUMANITY.I felt this painting should be hanged in the most apropriate place, for commemoration purpose.Somehow, until this very moment,I did not find the right place for it,I tried my best ,when I finished this work.Today,I think perhaps you can help me find the right place for this work. Today, when I took once more photos of the Columbia,my son Yarin said to me ,he wants to be a scientist of shuttles...which reminds me that when my other son Saar was about his age,he wanted to be an astronaut. Never too late... Copyrights(c)Nira Dabush

Beautiful, emotional, moving piece of artwork - I love all the different textures and mediums you have used to obtain the surface structure you have, and the colour values are vivid and delightful! The details are outstanding, there is so much to see enjoy and appreciate! Your writeup is very tender and you have a most generous heart... And you are right, it is "Never too late". {{Hugs}} :o)
