One month after September 11th a journey to the Kennedy Space Center instilled an even greater sense of American Patriotism. Here in one place we can walk though history and feel proud of our unique accomplishments. We as a species, as a race, as one nation of people, achieved more triumphant events than any other creatures of our planet. We left the bounds of our planet to explore and encounter what is out there in the vastness of Space and Time. Through a series of painted layers, masking, channel separations, filters and extensive use of digital paint brushes, Thom's original digital photo of KSCs Rocket Garden transformed into this magical painting that reminds us there are no boundries as to what a man, or nation can achieve with hope and peace in their hearts.
